  • In recent years, whenever I've decided to press some CDs of new music for sale and promotional purposes, some joker has thought he was being really clever in saying, "Nice coasters!"

Well, because I'm perverse that way, I decided to just lean into the whole coaster thing. For just $7 (including shipping), you will get a wooden coaster featuring one of my varied, unique, and strange collage designs. These coasters not only look great, but they do the job for which they were designed! The artwork is sealed in acrylic so it won't be disturbed by condensation from you drink, and the coasters have nice little rubber feet to protect your furniture.

Plus, each coaster comes with a unique code (crossed out in sample picture) that will allow you to download my new EP, "Trying to Remember a Dream", in any format you choose and/or stream it for free on Bandcamp or using the Bandcamp app.

Unfortunately, I cannot guarantee you will get the design of your choice, and I am making new ones all the time. However, if there is a particular one you like, feel free to include a description in the notes of your order and if it's still available, I'll make sure you get it!

about

This is a song about trying to learn to healthily manage rage.

lyrics

You would've been proud of me this morning—
I didn't lose my cool
Even though all my instincts told me to tell off
This stupid fool
I felt my neck clench into a fist 'round my throat
Then I took a deep breath and then I came home
And wrote all this down instead of getting
Thrown in jail... or worse

But I still cursed that guy in the car
All the way home
Then, I guess I needed some time when I could
Just be alone
But you were there and there was no way you could know
That my fuse was short and ready to blow
And I'm doing my best, but I'm
Bound to blow it now and then

It's kind of like when you're trying to remember a dream
Or practicing what you preach; you know the more you
Reach for it, the more it seems just out of reach
And you can put your finger on it, but the
Words won't leave your lips, it's like some
Things were never intended for our grip

Now, I'm not afraid of changing
But it gets tougher to do every day
The things it takes a lifetime to learn aren't so
Easily washed away
Seems like the harder we try to take over the reins
The more it seems clear we're not steering this train
So, happy new year!
And here's to making promises we won't keep

Kind of like when you're trying to remember a dream
Or practicing what you preach; you know the more you
Reach for it, the more it seems just out of reach
And you can put your finger on it, but the
Words won't leave your lips, it's like some
Things were never intended for our grip
